Andrea Palmarin

Originally from Pieris (GO), born in 2003, he approached music at a young age: at 6 he began studying the euphonium through the course offered by his town band.

Since 2022 he has attended lessons at the Italian Euphonium Academy with teacher and soloist Luciano De Luca. In 2025 he completed his first-level academic degree with a score of 110/110 cum laude and, from that same year, began his second-level degree at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome.

He keeps constantly up to date by attending masterclasses with world-renowned musicians such as Steven Mead, David Childs, Mauro Martins, Glenn Van Looy, Katrina Marzella, Massimo La Rosa, Lito Fontana, Simone Candotto, Rocco Rescigno, Øystein Baadsvik, Paul Halwax and Mario Barsotti.

In 2020 he was selected for the ANBIMA National Youth Symphonic Band as principal euphonium, under Maestros Alessandro Cadario, Stefano Gatta, Leonardo Laserra Ingrosso and Antonio Barbagallo, performing at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Teatro Morlacchi in Perugia, the Nervi Festival in Genoa and the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago.

Since 2023 he has collaborated as principal euphonium with the Orchestra di Fiati Val Isonzo (second prize in the higher category at the Flicorno d'Oro). Also in 2023 he was selected for the EYBB (European Youth Brass Band) at the European Brass Band Championships in Malmö, Sweden, where he served as Principal Euphonium. From the same year he has been selected for every edition of the Music System Italy / World Brass Week project.

In 2024 he collaborated with the Italian Tuba Quartet and won first prize at the Città di Palmanova international competition.

In 2025 he was selected for the EYBB at the European Brass Band Championships in Stavanger, Norway, under Margaret Antrobus, where he served as first and second Baritone, becoming the first Italian to play in this ensemble for more than a year. That same year he collaborated with the Italian Army Band and won the absolute first prize at the "Giovani Musicisti Città di Treviso" International Competition with a score of 100/100.

Since 2025 he has been principal Baritone with the Italian Brass Band, with which he took part in the Championship section of the European Brass Band Championships in Linz, Austria.

In 2026 he won the absolute first prize at the Città di Belluno International Music Competition with a score of 98/100. In the same year he became Vice President of the EuphoniumItaly association, together with Giuliano Cerbarano and Domenico Cima, pursuing the development of musical culture around his instrument in Italy.

Since 2026 he has led Duo Oblitum together with organist Lorenzo Rupil; the duo will be a guest in December at the Malta International Organ Festival.

Since 2025 he has been a K&G artist.
