Mission
EuphoniumItaly - A.P.S. was founded as an Associazione di Promozione Sociale — a Third Sector nonprofit organization under Italian law — based in Rome. Our activities are aimed at our members, their families and the community, with civic, solidarity-based and socially useful purposes, in full respect of the freedom and dignity of every member.
Why we exist
Our objectives
As set out in the association's bylaws, EuphoniumItaly pursues the development of the musical culture surrounding the euphonium in Italy through a number of core objectives.
Musical and cultural education
Fostering the musical, social and touristic culture of members and young people, promoting the association as a social, democratic outlet for the use of leisure time.
Education and teaching
Promoting musical education for members and non-members alike — particularly minors and people in disadvantaged circumstances — through courses, schools, musical ensembles and seminars.
Concert activity
Fostering concert activity as part of the teaching path and as a public service, including seasonal programs in theaters, town squares and schools, and in collaboration with public and private bodies.
Collaboration with schools
Working with schools to promote music learning and the spread of musical practice among young people, as an element of personal development.
Local heritage and territory
Spreading the culture of band music at civic and religious festivities, while also promoting tourism and the appreciation of artistic and landscape heritage.
Study, research and exchange
Promoting studies, research, seminars and conferences on the euphonium, and encouraging cultural exchange with other associations and bodies with similar aims.
